Pulling up

I'm pulling myself together. One more time. For my trials. For me.

Hooi Ping - LoL. You can have it as long as you want, though I'll probably bombard you with crazy questions. You know me lah... Haha.

Emmy - Aww. Thanks! Checking out your blog now, hope you don't mind that I link it yeah.

Okay, so I did a BM essay. About 'Amalkan Cara Hidup Sihat'. Gonna finish chem lab book, Add Maths 1 and corrections, Maths 1, Maths drawing (all the plans). Gtg! Will update later!

Balance

Saras - Aww, thanks for the sweet message! And look, you got yourself a blog! Finally! I'm linking it to mine, if you don't mind. XD. Love ya, sweetie!

TJ - Rain. Right. I'm sure it's nice. *pause* Suuurrrree.

Okay, even though today's topic is 'balance', I'm gonna be talking about quite a number of things here.

Chee Li slept over on Friday, and we went out and hung out with Gitz, Steph, Ranj and Joselyne. Was fun! Very last minute, but spontaneity makes it all the more exciting. LoL.

Gitz, Steph and Ranj are such amazing friends! I can't exactly say what went on, but it's struck me how truly wonderful and splendid they all are, and I really hope we continue to stay in touch even after 20 years.

Went for Grandma's party yesterday (maternal side), and even though the karaoke part pretty much deafened me, I kinda sang too. I know! The world's about to turn upside down - I can't sing to save my own life! Gah!

So, here we are, on with today's topic of 'balance'. Who knows, I might even rename my blog title to 'balance'. Has a nice ring to it. LoL. The thing is, as occupied as I am with the magazine stuff, I cannot let my studies receive the brunt of it. Staying up to finish editorial is fine, but I really need to get a grip on my homework and studies. Hell, I have SPM! I ain't gonna screw it up!

However, there is some pride in doing editorial stuff. I mean, the classes and individual picture pages are done! At long last! Creative writing done, achievements mostly done, academics mostly done, art and layout done, Mrs Amy's pages mostly done (Thanks, Chow and Su Sian!), new section nearly done (need some editing), PIBG (okay, don't get me started).

Gonna do the organizations, even though I might just get over-frustrated.

And I really need to get round to my Add Maths and Maths homework. It's been due for like, 6 days.

Raining

It's raining. It's a Sunday, at 12 noon, and it's raining. I don't mind rainy days if they're present every few sunny days, but it's been pouring for ages!

Why can't we get proper, average, decent weather?

Studied with Chow and Carol yesterday. Gita came halfway and we met for lunch. After they went back, I stayed on to do some chem. Then spent the rest of the evening doing Editorial stuff. My folders are all over the place right now, and I'm soooo frustrated at the few classes who haven't even handed in the list of names! Then we have to find the girls to label their individual pictures! And the societies! And this is the Organizations section!

Oh, guess what? I just found out that my comp has about 1 GB left of free space. This is great.

Just great.

Hopefully, I'll get Mr Ooi to print out whatever we've done, check it, distribute it, edit it, then send it in. In any average circumstance, this would probably take about 2 weeks (for some reason, everyone procrastinates) - but we're already lacking time, so I'm just gonna get it done in 4 days.

Gah. 4 days which include tests.

And a physics quiz.

And we have Red Crescent AGM meeting next week. That should be interesting.

Birthday present

Just the other day, Gitz, Rach and Steph gave me a belated birthday present! LoL. It was a real surprise, so here are different angles of the same present. Haha...

Very sweet of them. Love you guys!

I'll probably post some pics of the present that Sarah, Roz, Elaine and Anna gave some time later. LoL. Gtg now. Have fun blogging, bloggers!

Monday 7 July 2008

Just thought I'd update my blog with pictures! LoL. As they say, a picture paints a thousand words.

Hm, now you come to think of it - it's unfair. I mean, words have power too. XD

Rambutans that the neighbours gave. LoL. How sweet of them.

Pretty lights. =)

The dessert that Carol and I ordered at Ananda Bahwan. Service was really good, and this is a kind of gulab jamun plus ice-cream plus fruit salad.

This is ... er... onion dosai, I think. LoL. It was good too.

Oooh! Yes, I ordered this one. Called Chicken Tikki, supposed to be boneless chicken and onions, though I felt that it tasted exactly like Tandoori. Still, you can't deny good food.

Isn't the couch cute? LoL. Mum and dad got it.

Banana leaf rice - Carol ordered this. Quite nice.

I was tempted to go to Deli France yesterday at Paradise, but since we didn't exactly bring enough money, we decided to go Ananda Bahwan, and as great as the food is there, I do NOT want to go there again.

It's time for new tastes.

=D

A day worthy of 'wow'

I fell asleep at like, 7 or 8, yesterday, so it's no wonder that I managed to rush through all of my homework and pass it up in time, though I have a feeling that I haven't exactly completed my Add Maths. Ah well, it's handed in already.

My sis won the public speaking and impromptu competition in school! LoL. It's pretty cool, though I heard that Marissa (her friend) was a worthy competition. Anyway, good job, you!

Kitt - Food is the pleasure of life. No harm in that. XD

TJ - Please... reintroduce your chatbox or something. Or at least make it anonymous to comment on your blog. I'm so lazy to sign in first lah.

Even though I thought today was going to be crazy, I'm actually really glad that I went to school. And I got good news when I came home today! Really unexpected, but really good. XD

Had another round of prefectorial interview. Since it's against principles to reveal anything, I shall zip my mouth right now. Tight.

Maybe I'll update this later.

Four hours of Physics...

... can kill. And it has.

*splattered in a pool of her own blood*

Okay, fine, so I'm exaggerating a little, but only just.

It's 11pm, and I need to finish editing the editors' message, see which organization hasn't been typed out, figure out which one I still need for new section. Feel like sleeping, but I know I gotta do this.

Thank goodness I have a good team.
