Drool
LoL.
Just a few pics to how the delicious treats we enjoyed.
Brownie and vanilla ice-cream at Secret Recipe. It's soooo good, and whoever who goes there NEEDS to be informed of this sin!
Playing around with the effects of my camera. Haha.
The salad we had for dinner. At Nando's.
This was supposedly breakfast. At Coffee Bean. I haven't got much to say for their food, but their coffees are practically equal to food. Very filling, and the service we received was superb. RM 7.90 for the coffee, and the meal costs around RM15. Not bad.
Today was one of the most enjoyable days EVER. LoL. Though I'm beginning to feel as if everyday is truly and wonderfully an enjoyment. Carol and I tried on loads of clothes, and we pretty much fooled around. We studied, of course, but studying is so much fun with a friend! We finished a chapter of Chem, 4 chapters of sej and 4 chapters of Bio.
Looking forward to tomorrow. Will be selling muffins again for editorial. And it should be really fun, coz I'm going to meet some cool author from Auckland. LoL. Though I wouldn't be able to stay back for drama practice, hmm.
Which reminds me, Pn Mary wants to see the full rehearsal tomorrow. Sigh.
Met up with Ranj after the shopping part. She brought her brother to watch Get Smart. So awesome of her.
Gitz is over at Ferzie's house now, as are Elaine and Rachel. LoL. Apparently, they're staying up for some football match. Finals, I think. Either way, I'd be fast asleep.
XD

NAAN!
Went with Ranj, Gitz and Carol. Jo joined us for a while before returning to RoofTop. We ate at Ananda Bahwan, and it was soooo cool! It was a really spontaneous thing, coz after my haircut, we just decided to go. In school, we toyed with the idea, but anyway, Steph and Sarah couldn't join us. We ate so much, and I'm officially in love with Indian food! We got Naan Garlic, Naan Cheese, Gulap Jambun (this is sinfully delicious!), some tofu thing, some potato thing and paper tosai. I think Carol and I ate the most. Haha! Indian food rocks!
Gitz drove us home after that, and Ranj and I shared for her share of dinner. It's only fair, right? LoL. We should totally do this more often, guys. Maybe next time, we could go to RoofTop or Papa Pizza, or Little India, or I'll just invite you guys over for some typical Chinese homecooked food. Maybe there ARE things you haven't tried yet, you baboons.
Gonna study with Chow at 10. Gitz isn't coming - I'm slicing her into 6 pieces later. Then got Lit tuition, which I'm dead for, coz I haven't even started corrections. Gah.
PS: I slept watching TV yesterday. Someone came and scolded me off for not switching off the lights and the TV, but I can't remember if it was Mum or my sis.
Bwahahaha!
My sis.
Like she'd care.

Hahaha!
Ms Tan: ... Suruh dia pergi fotostat, sampai sekarang batang hidung pun tak nampak...
Wakaka! Batang hidung, I ask you.
Anyway, today has been a pretty constructive day. Taking one day, one step, at a time. 58 days left to trials. It's EVERYTHING.

Garden!
Photos
Random pics, no less.
Roz gave me this for my birthday in Form 3. Good times!
One of the very few touching books around. Wanted to take a pic of Second Glance, but it's with Gitz.
Random. XD
Used to love the Mediator and Fearless series. Used to. Like, way back.
Won this on Saturday!
In the book/present that Roz gave me. She actually made the whole thing, including the front and back cover.
Studying Chemistry. Not going for tuition. Will memorize my brains out. I WILL. No MATTER WHAT.
Ms Tan is adorable!
Preview:
Chow: What to do? What to do?
Yin Yin: Yeah, what she ask us to do?
Soffiah: Go ask her lah.
Chow: Cik Tan, boleh repeat ah?
Ms Tan: (glares) Suruh mak you repeat lah!
Bwahahaha! I summarized the whole incident, but you get the idea. This is all credited to Ferzie and Soffiah - they made it 10 times funnier.
Another incident with Ms Tan in class:
Ms Tan: Buat lah kerja, main-main saja.
Shu: Cikgu, tak ada main-main lah.
Ms Tan: Tak ada main-main... kelak tengoklah you buat apa... nanti tak berjaya.
Gitz: Pasti berjayalah, cikgu.
Ms Tan: (halfway marking book) Tengok! 'Jun' pun tak tau eja, bagaimana nak berjaya hah?
Ms Tan is so freaking cute lah. LoL. And then we laughed even harder when we saw Steph putting glue to her paper - no offense intended, Steph - and it was cute/hilarious!
I totally dig BM lessons. XD

And then there was...
To say, to do, to work with. I know that the net can be an unbelievably shallow place, but it's weird, because when you get caught up in it, it's like you're in this whirlwind, and it's so bloody hard to just break away and root yourself to the ground.
I don't know about you, but when I listen to music, I need the lyrics to be something with meaning, rather than an unrelentless string of hoarse yelling.
Examples:
It seems like yesterday that my world fell from the sky
It seems like yesterday I didn't know how hard I could cry
It feels like tomorrow I may not get by
But I will try
I will try
Wipe the tears from my eyes
- Beautifully Broken, Ashlee Simpson -
When you walk away
I count the steps that you take
Do you see how much I need you right now?
When you're gone
The pieces of my heart are missing you
When you're gone
The face I came to know is missing too
When you're gone
The words I need to hear to always get me through the day
And make it ok
I miss you
I've never felt this way before
Everything that I do reminds me of you
And the clothes you left they lie on the floor
And they smell just like you
I love the things that you do
- When You're Gone, Avril Lavigne -
When you look me in the eyes
I catch a glimpse of heaven
I find my paradise
When you look me in the eyes
More than more, I start to realize
I can reach my tomorrow
I can hold my head high
And it's all because you're by my side
- When you look me in the eyes, Jonas Bros -
Pretty mushy stuff, but I kinda like it. Wanted to find 'Unwritten' but I'm just too lazy. Did an English an essay after tuition, got inspiration from the mandarin essay I wrote in tuition - that one's pretty bad. LoL. Flipped through Bio. Read through auxins and the ADH stuff.
Think I'm going to just go through Chemistry - the part about thermochemistry.

Topics of the day
#1: The vote of no confidence against Pak Lah. Done by the SAPP. I won't pretend that I know much about politics, but it's ironic the way SAPP seems to go against its own party. This is interesting, although disturbing.
#2: I'd like to officially state Patrick Dempsey as amazing, wonderful and splendid! He's awesome! He was so good in the show 'Made of honour' - and so cute! Haha. The lady was real pretty too, except I don't really know her name.
#3: I salute Idris Jala as one of the greatest people around. For those of you who don't know, he is the hero who turned around Malaysia Airlines - turning MAS from a feared loss to a profit-making machine. Before MAS, he was under Shell, to which he also contribute a tremendous lot. These are the truly wonderful people around. Sometimes, it's really weird, because there was once upon a time when I actually envisioned myself to be amongst the top rank - among the people who could single-handedly change the course of history. Seems bloody arrogant, but it was part of my wishlist. Now, I still want to change the world, but I see so many different options that it's hard to just choose if I want to become a corporate businesswoman or an employee under Star newspaper. Or even a politician, for that matter. *gasp!*
#4: Do you think Kate Middleton will marry Prince William? I'd like to think so, but somehow, there is this little doubt in me that it's going to take a lot more than a ring and a velvet case. There are rumours that the prince is going to propose during Christmas, and that their wedding should be sometime next year. I like Kate Middleton - she has the poise, the elegance, the look - but personally, I think she should also have a high-flying career, not just waiting for the proposal (assuming that the rumours are true).
#5: Designer babies. This is getting to be quite an issue nowadays - a controversial one, for that matter. There is the religious who believe that babies are gifts from the Lord, and that to create the exact baby that you want before giving him/her life is just wrong. On the other hand, what is wrong with a couple who want a healthy baby - with a pair of hands, a pair of feet, good eyesight and clear skin? What is wrong with wanting the best possible life for a baby not yet born? What is wrong for wanting a baby to be normal and possibly free from birth defects?
#6: Benazir Bhutto. Apparently, the Pakistanese are naming an airport after her. She was a great person and a great leader. I don't know much about her, so I'll google later.
#7: There's no latest report on Obama's decision on whether Clinton should be his running mate. We're still waiting. Meanwhile, the battle between Obama and Clinton for the White House has begun - you can watch it on CNN. Both excellent speakers.
Right. Guess that's about all for today. Quite a lot for a single morning. XD
Law Olympiad
We won 2nd place! Woohoo!
Really weird, coz I didn't expect us to win, but since we did give our very best shot, I'm pretty glad. There were loads of games - Who dunnit, Trivia Quiz, What's your verdict, Best alibi/best plea, and reason!able. Really fun. Challenging. Gave my brain a good waking up, haha.
Back home now. It's my other off day, though I think I'm not going to think of it as an 'off day'. Everyday is a new 'off' day to enjoy, and when I study/work, I want to enjoy. Even yesterday, while trying to relax, I still had to do some work, hence proving that studying and relaxation come hand in hand.
Went on Messenger for the first time in AGES last night. Haha.

Thoughts
Maybe friendships are meant to be that way. I'm not the world's most childish kid, but I do appreciate little things here and there - especially the friends I make along the road - and sometimes, it's just hard to think that you've missed such a huge part of someone else's life and you think you're still important to them.
Gah. This sounds soooo pathetic.
Well, I'll be seeing Ranj and Gitz and the whole gang tomorrow. It's me, Gitz, Ranj, Jessy, Soffiah, Rachel, Elaine, Ferzie, Steph and Roz all for the Law Olympiad at MBS (at 7.30am, mind you). I think it's gonna be loads of fun!
Quotes - LoL
And then there are quotes that make you laugh.
Like, Mark Twain's that goes something like this, 'I'm a genius amongst idiots' and 'thank goodness for all the fools around me'.
Sounds arrogant? You bet your left foot. But it's pretty cute the way he puts it. Haha.
I'm boring myself. Haha.
Personal Holiday
Exercised a bit, did some editorial board work, but overall, it's pretty good. Think I'm gonna take a shower.
XD
After school
Anyway, today hasn't exactly been the best of days - that's already being pretty mild. I've decided to take today and tomorrow completely OFF work, both school work and editorial work. Yes, I'm actually giving myself a break.
Yesterday was really crappy, but I felt that I resolved certain things. Things that were important to me before, but is now only amongst my top priorities.
LoL.
And I've come to realize that I live to write - whether it's blogging or actual writing or typing or whatever. I need to do this in order for me to feel a sense of purpose. Weird, I know, but at least I've realized it before I screw up my SPM. I mean, I can take a break and write every now and then, eh?
Guess it's just part of me.

In school
Should have followed Ranj home, but me lah, clever-clever go and tell her that I don't need a ride.
Thank goodness the school has free internet service after school - otherwise, I might just die. The school's computers are pretty cool - it's the black-colour type, flat screen, very unlike those you find in the 1990's. Yeah, it's pretty cool... yada yada... except that they still use keyboards. With the alphabets high in the air; no wonder I keep hitting the wrong button.
Oh, and A LOT of things are off-limits. Even celebrities. If I didn't have this blog, I might have to chop this computer into two.
It's only 3.24! I have half an hour more to go! Urgh.
I want to go home and just chill. Before studying my head out.
I NEED to study. Promised Gitz that I would. Haha. Did an essay today - lame, but whatever. Gonna do a chemistry paper later, or maybe physics, or add maths. Anyway, I have this whole long schedule that I plan to follow... until now. I'm pretty confused - should I, or should I not, follow it? Grr.
Okay, you know what? I'll do chemistry - all the alkenes/alkanes/alcohol/ester stuff; I'll do physics - PC Lim homework; I'll do add maths - school homework. There. Think I'll watch Army Wives later at night. Yes, I watch hallmark. Haha.

So sleepy
Need to study. NEED.
Tuesday, 17 June 2008
Morning
Going to school soon. Getting panicky coz I haven't finished my physics homework. And I haven't been studying. =(
Crap lah. I need to study. Whoosh.
Part of my wishlist
... is for the magazine to be awesome! Honestly, I don't bloody care how many people remember me after I leave school (most teachers aren't fond of our class anyway) - I just want people to be happy when they see the magazine! Like I said, life is about the people that you touch, not the trail you leave behind.
Anyway, most of the school events articles are done - only farewell and speech day left. Su Sian and Chow will finish Mrs Amy's by next week. Creative writing was supposed to be done ages ago, but it's coming along. It HAS to be done by this Thursday. Then, the creative contributions - all I have to say is, 'THANK YOU, CHOW!' As for the new section articles, it's Krystle and Kelly working on it. Need to get Yuna to start on one of it too.
If Seetha doesn't send me Academics today, I will skin her alive.
Sports and Science will be done next week.
PIBG and Editorial - Poor Denise. Long story. As long as we get it done by next week, I'm not too fussed.
The thing is, I let Mr Ooi print out everything (as in, the school events articles) and he said there are loads of mistakes! Even the little ones, like using Mdm instead of Pn, or using Mdm. and Mrs. instead of Mdm and Mrs - urgh. That actually takes quite some time, and some work, in case no one has noticed.
No matter. I will tahan.

Colistrian Magazine
Sorry, bloggers, for the very-long-not-posting condition of this blog. So, here is a post to make up for all those unwritten posts! LoL.
Right, so we still don't know if Obama is willing to let Clinton be his running mate, but well, we'll leave it at that for now. Until further notice - I'll let you know the latest news.
Apparently, it's Fathers' Day today, but since we celebrated last week, today is more of a 'Oh, yeah, Happy Fathers' Day, Dad' thing.
The school magazine is coming up pretty okay. Sam and two other sections are staying back on Monday until 5pm for the baking thing. Nat wants to help too, LoL. How cute. I have a great team with me, and for that, I thank the Lord. I really, really hope the magazine will be a great success. I will continue putting in as much as I can.
One day, I want every Colistrian to be able to flip through the magazine with excitement and interest.
I want every Colistrian to take a look at our magazine and say, 'That's my school.'
Ten years from now, I want Colistrians to be able to take our school magazine and show their friends with pride and tell everyone else, 'This is Convent Light Street.'
When people look at our school magazine, I want them to be impressed.
I want people to love our school, the way I do.
I want everyone to see our school with this halo around its roof and look at the school with admiration.
Our school is a school with prestige, with virtues, with principles.
May it live on.

My Fav Stuff
2. My handphone
3. My notebook
4. My new blue g'soft pen
5. This black sequinned blouse I'm wearing
6. Something I wrote
7. Tiffy, Tinky, Tonks, Teddy (latest pendrive - LoL)
8. Mandy - yes, it's my camera
9. My writing (I'm serious lah)
10. Mango/Prunes/Yoghurt/Chicken soup (can't decide)
Ta-dah! My favourite things. Did some Add Maths, Bio and Literature Drama. I really need to write a chinese essay - it's about the only thing that can save my mandarin from total disaster.
Guess what? I just found out that I have 3 Chemistry sets of model papers - all untouched.
I think I left my handphone in the car. Hm.
*thinks*
I'll just get it tomorrow.
Ponder-worthy things
Just a few things I thought I'd mention:
Petrol prices have increased to an all-new high. That's about the worst of the news, I guess. Electricity prices have gone up too, but if you use below 200kW, worry not. Hm, I wonder how much we use? Either way, Mum has gone about 6 times like, 'If you got nothing to buy then don't buy lah. Got food to eat, got bed to sleep, can already.' She has a point, of course. LoL.
Barack Obama won the Democratic nomination, meaning that Hilary Clinton is out of the picture. To this, I don't really know what to say. I supported Clinton, but Obama wouldn't be too bad if he does bring change to their country. Between the two, it's a battle of experience against the promise of change - and apparently, change won. Clinton is open to vice presidential nomination, but that is, in essence, Obama's decision. (I think he should though - he needs support from Clinton's delegates, and he gets some help from the Clinton pair in running the country)
As for John McCain - I have nothing to say. I mean, he's 71! - *Note: I didn't say nothing.
Tabby - How're things at Edith Cowan anyway? A Levels there right? XD

Sleepy
Chad - Your writing style? LoL. I don't really know how to explain. It's by instinct - you can just tell.
Feeling kind of sleepy right now. Kim Yen and Chow asked if I wanted to go roller-skating at Qbay, but I have tuitions! Gah. And I really need to study. I just realized that I have three bloody months to my trials, and as all SPM-takers know, trials are practically the actual exam. You can do almost everything and anything with good trial results. You use your trials to apply for scholarships, to apply for colleges (if you're thinking of entering one, that is), to gauge how you'd do in SPM itself.
Thus, 3 months = 90 days = 7.5 days per subject
Which is really, truly insufficient because we have more than 7 chapters per subject, which leaves us to study at least 2 - 3 chapters a day.
Have Baskaran tomorrow. We're actually going for his intensive course for F4, though this isn't actually supposed to be our centre (I think he's having one at our centre during the August hols?). And I meet him for tuition again after that for F5. Chemistry. Yippee.
Need to memorise SALTS. Ack!
Gonna do some Ed Board stuff now. And yes, I think I have quite a few people to KILL when school reopens.

KL !
Anyway, just thought I'd show some pictures to prove that, yes, I really did go to KL, and yes, I made full use of my camera. =)
Ranjini's Chocolate Indulgence cake. Yummm...
My cheesecake! LoL. The above two pics are taken on Saturday, before KL. Okay, my cheesecake may look quite... crude ... but it really is nice.
Below are all pics taken on Sunday and today!
We ate lunch at Thai Nudle (yes, it's spelt that way) in One-Utama. I think this was the first time I went to 1-U, coz we usually go to Sungei Wang, Bintang Walk, Lot 10, etc.
This is on one of the walls in the mall. Tiles. Probably some competition for kids.
Reminds me of Harry Potter. LoL.
A rainforest in 1-U. It's like in the middle of the mall thing. Pretty cool, though I have no idea how they keep it up.
Pretty flowers!
These four stretches of goodness-knows-what are made from legos. You know, legos, like the kind we used to play with as kids. Yeah, legos. I hope they don't actually ask kids to crawl through that. I mean, promotion is promotion, but to build tunnels of lego?
Nuh-uh.
Random pic. Different pics taken from our garden at home. LoL. Taken when Su Sian and Phoay Ning were here. =]
Left: Healthy, blooming flowers. Right: Gah. No comment. Malaysian people ah...
We ordered this in DeliFrance. I think it's in Lot 10. Aren't they adorable? You order this with coffee/tea, and it's only RM10. Adorable-worthy.
In all, KL was really fun, coz the whole family really participated in talking/eating/sleeping/shopping. We shopped a whole lot, and I bought a pair of heels - this is the first one that I have ever bought on my own - and they killed me. I actually wore this pair of sport shoes, but because I haven't washed it since camp - serves me right - it really stinked. And I really mean, STINK. The shoes are capable of driving skunks mad. My new heels didn't stink, of course, but shopping for over 5 hours in stilettos does eventually murder you.
I have also learnt to be thankful that I'm of this generation. Observe:
Dad: Ha-ha. This joke is so stale.
Me: Stale? Stale?
Jo: Stale is for bread.
Me: Today, we call it 'lame'. Like, lame.
Jo: Yeah, as in lame-o.
Dad: You people are so stale.
See what I mean? Thank goodness.
We went to Food Republic at Pavilion to eat. Mum called this kuih-kak/omelette for us to share, and guess what? It reeked oil. I had to - literally - press the stuff against the plate and watch the oil ooze out before eating it. Gross, I know - didn't finish it anyway. There wasn't enough plate capacity for me to finish squeezing oil. LoL.
Til next time. Ciao.
